Biomedical Site Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and electrical safety inspections on laboratory biomedical equipment according to established schedules and work orders
• Inspect and support installation of new laboratory equipment while overseeing IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities at assigned sites
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure high equipment availability
• Support laboratory staff with equipment best practices and operational guidance
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and safety inspections
• Manage and maintain all aspects of the Qualer CMMS database, ensuring equipment records and compliance documentation remain current and accurate
• Process and track work orders through the Qualer ticketing system for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities
• Coordinate third party vendor support, including scheduling service visits, obtaining quotes, processing purchase orders, and confirming completion of work
• Partner closely with Quality teams to support ongoing 21 CFR compliance requirements
• Continue education and training on applicable laboratory equipment and testing devices

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field preferred
• 2 years of biomedical equipment maintenance experience in a hospital, laboratory, diagnostics, or clinical environment required
• Experience working with CMMS platforms required; Qualer experience strongly preferred
• Experience coordinating external vendors and managing service activities preferred
• CBET or CLES certification preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Excel and database management systems
• Ability to work independently with limited on site supervision
