What are the responsibilities and job description for the CCS Student Only: After-School Program Student Activity Leader position at Cypress Christian School Bridgeland Campus?
This position starts September, 2025.
This postition is open to current CCS students age 16 and older. Under direction of the After-School Program Coordinator, the student worker supervises students enrolled in the After-School Program according to the directives of the coordinator.
SUMMARY
Under direction of the After School Program Coordinator, the After-School Program Worker supervises students enrolled in the program according to the directives of the coordinator.
GENERAL DUTIES
- Provide instruction and supervision for a specified group of students according to the directives of the program coordinator.
- Become familiar with program policies and ensure that such policies are properly implemented.
- Ensure that all your student and parent interaction is characterized by professionalism, courtesy, respect, and in harmony with the Christian spirit of CCS.
- Work in conjunction with coordinator to assist with duties relative to program set up, clean up, building security, recording keeping, and other logistical/operational issues.
- Consult with coordinator to ensure that significant incidents (behavioral, etc.) are properly documented and communicated to the parents/guardians.
- Be familiar with your reporting obligations to appropriate regulatory agencies regarding child abuse/neglect.
- Follow established policies regarding student supervision/classroom management.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Basic working knowledge of issues relating to after school programs.
- Ability to effectively supervise students.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
- Ability to exercise excellent judgment.
- Ability to multitask.
PREFERRED
- First Aid/CPR training
ESSENTIAL CCS REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a born-again Christian whose lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures.
- Must be able to accept and support the school’s doctrinal statement.
- Must have an understanding of and commitment to CCS’s educational objectives and philosophy of education.
- Must attend a Bible-believing church.
- Must clear background check and history indicating fitness to work with children.
