As a Trust Support Specialist, you will partner with a Trust Officer to manage and administer trust accounts in compliance with the trust document, governing law and Cypress Bank & Trust Company policies. You will interact directly with inside & outside advisors and beneficiaries and manage follow-up and/or ongoing deliverables along with providing data entry support for a Trust Officer. This position reports to the Trust Officer/Manager.
Responsibilities
As a Trust Support Specialist, you will partner with a Trust Officer to manage and administer trust accounts in compliance with the trust document, governing law and Cypress Bank & Trust Company policies. You will interact directly with inside & outside advisors and beneficiaries and manage follow-up and/or ongoing deliverables along with providing data entry support for a Trust Officer. This position reports to the Trust Officer/Manager.
Responsibilities
- Support assigned Trust Officer in the administration of trust accounts.
- Performs general administrative duties; assists trust officers with the day to day administrative and operational tasks of individual & trust accounts
- Communicate and collaborate with internal business partners (bank, operations, investments, compliance, legal and sales) to timely complete required tasks
- Collaborate and work in an ongoing relationship with our associated financial partners and trust beneficiaries
- Assist Trust Officer with client and prospect communication as well as documentation of all follow up actions and related project management
- Attend meetings with advisors, clients and prospects
- Facilitate daily account activities with Trust Officer including cash movement and prepare/input requests for the payment of expenses and distributions including submitting ACH transfer and wire instructions and researching account transactions
- Responsible for maintaining all account documentation for current and historical accounts, assisting with onboarding new client accounts etc.
- Assisting in the tax reporting for clients with internal and external CPAs (gathering documentation for preparation, communications with CPAs, tracking completion of returns, scheduling payments of tax & estimates due)
- Prepare requested reports for administration of trust clients (cash management, client statements etc.)
- Assist trust officer with trust asset management and estate settlements (real estate inspections, collecting bills and communication with vendors, assisting in custody & securing of assets, creating inventories)
- Assist Trust officer in preparation of annual account reviews and responding to auditor requests
- Maintain solid working knowledge of internal policy and procedures regarding fiduciary administration
- Provide excellent client service to all beneficiaries, financial and legal advisors
- Work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision of Trust Officer
- Perform special projects and other related tasks as needed
- Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
- Complies with the Bank BSA Policy and internal procedures including any related training including Know Your Customer compliance
- Proficient with AddVantage or other trust accounting software
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Detail-Oriented and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, excel, SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat a must)
