Position Summary
Cypress Assisted Living is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our Wellness Director, a key leadership role responsible for the oversight and operation of the Wellness Department. This is a highly autonomous position ideal for a confident clinical leader who thrives in assisted living, understands nurse delegation, and is passionate about resident‑centered care and regulatory excellence.
The Wellness Director leads all clinical operations, ensures compliance with Washington State assisted living regulations, and partners closely with community leadership to promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
The Wellness Director is accountable for the full clinical and operational management of the Wellness Department, including:
- Overall leadership of nursing and caregiving services within the assisted living community
- Oversight of resident assessments, ongoing evaluations, and individualized service plans
- Clinical leadership for residents with complex needs, including behavioral health, dementia, and mental health conditions
- Nurse delegation, supervision, and support of unlicensed and certified care staff
- Ensuring compliance with Washington State Assisted Living regulations (WAC) and applicable regulatory standards
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary partners, providers, families, and community leadership
- Ongoing survey readiness, documentation oversight, and quality assurance
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing a strong, accountable wellness team

Required Qualifications
- Active Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- (Compact/multi‑state license accepted if applicable)
- Assisted Living clinical experience required
- Demonstrated experience with nurse delegation
- Experience supporting residents with behavioral health needs, dementia, mental illness, or related diagnoses
- Strong working knowledge of Washington State assisted living regulations (WAC)
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in senior living, assisted living, or long‑term care settings
Compensation & Role Scope
Salary: $95,000 - $120,000
Compensation, final title alignment, and scope of responsibility will be determined based on experience, licensure, and leadership background. This role is intended to function as the primary clinical leader for the community’s wellness operations.
Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
