The company is looking for highly motivated and dedicated Design interns to join our team this Fall. The goal for the internship is to gain a deeper understanding of the industry and design/production process by being a part of the CR design team, actively participating in both digital and hands-on tasks. The internship must be exchanged for school credit.
The job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Researching fabrics and materials
- Providing support in design and production fittings
- Putting together tech-packs
- Assisting designers in making in-house samples (pattern-making, cutting, finishing)
- Creating artwork
Applicant requirements:
- Must be a current student working toward a degree, or a recent graduate with a background in fashion design
- Must be able to commit at least 16 hours/week (2 or 3 full days preferred)
- Be very organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be willing to learn and take direction
- Have knowledge in garment construction, pattern-making, draping, and sewing
- Have knowledge of a wide range of fabrics
- Knowledge in Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus.
