Job Title: Training Specialist
Job Type: Contract
Job Overview:
- Responsible for developing and delivering training programs for healthcare organizations and internal teams related to KHIE services.
- Supports user onboarding, healthcare stakeholder engagement, and service adoption through virtual and in-person training sessions, workshops, and educational programs.
- Acts as a subject matter expert while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and organizational standards.
Requirement/Must Have:
- Bachelor s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in training, healthcare operations, customer support, or health information technology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation and customer service skills.
- Ability to explain complex information clearly and effectively.
- Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems in Kentucky.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Valid driver s license and ability to travel within Kentucky.
- Strong organizational, adaptability, and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
- Experience developing and delivering training programs.
- Experience conducting virtual and in-person training sessions.
- Experience supporting healthcare organizations and stakeholders.
- Experience creating training materials, SOPs, and user documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Educate healthcare organizations on the benefits and usage of KHIE services.
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs for healthcare providers and internal teams.
- Conduct virtual and in-person training sessions, webinars, and workshops.
- Create and maintain training materials, presentations, user guides, and SOPs.
- Assess training needs and identify opportunities to improve user adoption and understanding.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for KHIE services.
- Monitor training participation and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics.
- Identify knowledge gaps and support onboarding initiatives.
- Ensure training materials comply with HIPAA requirements and data privacy standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for training delivery and user experience.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
- Host educational briefings, product demonstrations, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
- Produce reports and presentations related to training activities and participant feedback.
- Provide excellent customer service and professional communication to healthcare organizations and stakeholders.
- Support troubleshooting efforts and coordinate issue escalation with internal teams when needed.
Should Have:
- Knowledge of health IT systems, electronic health records (EHRs), and data exchange standards preferred.
- Certifications in training, instructional design, or health IT preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare interoperability mandates preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement abilities preferred.
