Job Description: Pay Range: $31.05hr - $36.05hrReads and interprets prints or work instructions to ensure that tools and dies are prepared in accordance with specifications.Visually inspect tooling for damages.Inspects product by, sing measuring equipment such as tape measure, calipers, gauges, straight edges, etc. to insure conformance to specifications.Read prints to determine tolerances.Inspect dies after use for potential re-application.Reports die condition via die inspection reports.Prepares dies for coating through operation of 50-ton pres.Weld dies.Coat dies by using flame spraying machine to affix protective ceramic coating.Operates sandblasting equipment to roughen and clean surface of dies.Preheat dies in oven.Assembles tooling components.Maintain tooling inventory system.Prepare glass pads.Package tools for shipping.Inspect product by using measuring equipment such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, straight edges, etc, to insure conformance to customer specifications.Visually examines products, and marks type of defect on tooling or inspection tag.Classifies and describes defects to support cause and corrective action (CCA).Reports and documents inspections results.Read prints to determine tolerances.Verifies sub-contractor inspection reports.Provide feedback to engineering manager on tooling status.Ability to lift to operate overhead cranes, forklift, coating booth, grinders, 50-ton hydraulic press, sandblaster and oven as required.Familiarity with measuring devices such as taper gauges, straight edges, calipers, tape measures, etc.Skills / Knowledge:Due to the nature of the job, the candidate should be able to lift 50 pounds with assistance.Forklift and crane experience.Ability to use small tools, electrical and other.Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
