Job Title: Solution Architect
Job Type: Contract
Job Overview:
Pay Range: $65hr - $70hr
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end target architecture for TC11 Oracle RAC enablement.
- Define RAC topology, service models, scaling strategies, and non-functional requirements.
- Ensure architectural alignment with technology standards, security, risk, and compliance requirements.
- Drive architecture governance through Architecture Review Boards (ARBs).
- Lead application RAC readiness assessments for TC11 workloads.
- Guide application teams on service-based connectivity, workload routing, connection pooling, FAN, failover handling, session management, and low-latency transaction design.
- Ensure applications leverage RAC capabilities effectively for high-frequency trading (HFT) environments.
- Define and govern phased execution approach including architecture readiness, RAC foundation, production enablement, and optimization phases.
- Maintain scope discipline and act as a technical escalation point for complex design and integration issues.
- Define performance and resilience success metrics including latency, throughput, availability, and recovery.
- Oversee performance testing, tuning strategies, and optimization for RAC under HFT workloads.
- Recommend and implement advanced optimizations such as Oracle In-Memory where applicable.
- Ensure operational readiness including monitoring, observability, runbooks, and support models.
- Oversee knowledge transfer and production readiness sign-off.
- Support post go-live stabilization and hypercare activities.
Key Deliverables:
- Target architecture and solution design documentation.
- RAC service design and workload architecture artifacts.
- Application RAC readiness strategy and implementation guidance.
- Phased delivery roadmap and execution plan.
- Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
- Risk, dependency, and assumption registers.
- Production readiness and go-live sign-off documentation.
Required Skills And Experience:
- Strong expertise in Oracle RAC architecture, design, and implementation.
- Experience with high-frequency trading (HFT) or low-latency transaction systems.
- Deep understanding of database performance tuning, scalability, and high availability.
- Experience with application integration in RAC environments including connection pooling and failover mechanisms.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience leading architecture governance and large-scale enterprise programs.
- Ability to manage complex technical dependencies and cross-functional teams.
Salary : $65 - $70
