Job Overview:
- The Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments, including databases, middleware, and application services.
- This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and secure cloud operations while collaborating with development and DevOps teams.
Experience:
- 10 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and related technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design and manage Oracle OCI environments including database and middleware components.
- Develop and maintain Oracle APEX applications and ORDS services.
- Configure and administer Oracle WebLogic Server and related platforms.
- Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and conversions.
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and replication strategies.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection.
- Monitor and optimize database performance and implement tuning improvements.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for seamless deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues.
- Document processes and provide guidance on best practices.
Skills:
- Strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Experience with Oracle APEX and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
- Proficiency in Oracle WebLogic Server administration.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database architecture including CDB and PDB.
- Experience with database upgrade, backup, and recovery processes.
- Proficiency in Linux or Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Experience with configuration management and version control tools.
- Knowledge of cloud architecture, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Should Have:
- Experience with database monitoring and management tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and API integrations.
- Oracle certifications such as OCIP, OCP, or OCE.
Qualification And Education:
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
