Job Overview:
Pay Range: $45hr - $50hr
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop lab testing frameworks for IPv6 and dual-stack networking across multi-cloud environments.
- Define and execute test strategies to validate IPv6 readiness across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform platforms.
- Translate certification and business requirements into detailed test plans and execute them in lab environments.
- Perform troubleshooting and provide solutions for complex hardware and software issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate network designs, bugs, vulnerabilities, and workarounds.
- Support network operations by testing and piloting solutions in production environments.
- Develop and maintain network test automation frameworks using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- Validate network DMZ designs and certify hardware/software features for security and performance.
- Identify communication scenarios, execute testing, and perform data analysis and reporting.
- Document findings, risks, and solutions, and present to governance forums for approval.
- Ensure adherence to network security, availability, and performance best practices.
- Collaborate with cloud, security, compute, and infrastructure teams on network solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in LAN/WAN network design, engineering, and testing/certification.
- 4 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) in PaaS/IaaS environments.
- 3 years of hands-on experience with IPv6 networking and validation.
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking constructs:
- AWS (VPC, IPv6, Internet Gateway, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53).
- Azure (VNet, IPv6, Load Balancer, ExpressRoute, NSGs, Network Watcher).
- Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Router, IPv6 access, NAT64, Interconnect, VPC Flow Logs).
- Deep understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MP-BGP, MPLS VPNs, VXLAN, Multicast.
- Experience with network security technologies including DMVPN, IPSEC, and encryption standards.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco platforms (IOS-XE, XR, NX-OS, Nexus devices).
- Experience building lab environments, proof of concepts (PoCs), and certification testing.
- Strong understanding of hybrid cloud and on-prem network architectures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCIE/CCNP certification or equivalent experience.
- AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer, or Google Cloud Platform Network Engineer certifications.
- Experience with Python for network programming.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
