Job Overview:
Pay Range: $55hr - $60hr
Responsibilities:
- Drive Azure cloud cost optimization initiatives including rightsizing, reservations, savings plans, and storage lifecycle management.
- Ensure cost visibility through tagging governance, cost allocation models, and reporting frameworks.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis across Azure subscriptions.
- Implement governance controls to enhance financial accountability across cloud workloads.
- Automate cloud operations and cost controls using DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Collaborate with engineering and finance stakeholders to enable showback/chargeback models and cost transparency.
- Continuously improve cloud financial management practices and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 7 years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including compute, storage, networking, subscriptions, and RBAC.
- Solid understanding of Azure Cost Management and cloud governance practices.
- Good understanding of FinOps principles including cost allocation, forecasting, optimization, and chargeback models.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
- Exposure to FinOps tools such as Cloudability or similar platforms.
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400) or equivalent credentials.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and financial stakeholders.
