DevOps Engineer Azure Cloud (FinOps)

Responsibilities:

• Drive Azure cloud cost optimization initiatives including rightsizing, reservations, savings plans, and storage lifecycle management.
• Ensure cost visibility through tagging governance, cost allocation models, and reporting frameworks.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis across Azure subscriptions.
• Implement governance controls to enhance financial accountability across cloud workloads.
• Automate cloud operations and cost controls using DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Collaborate with engineering and finance stakeholders to enable showback/chargeback models and cost transparency.
• Continuously improve cloud financial management practices and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• 4 7 years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including compute, storage, networking, subscriptions, and RBAC.
• Solid understanding of Azure Cost Management and cloud governance practices.
• Good understanding of FinOps principles including cost allocation, forecasting, optimization, and chargeback models.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Exposure to FinOps tools such as Cloudability or similar platforms.
• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400) or equivalent credentials.
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and financial stakeholders.
