Responsibilities:
- Support efforts to understand customer processes, pain points, and business needs by participating in discussions with stakeholders and technical teams.
- Build foundational knowledge of business applications and organizational data management concepts to better support customerfocused
analysis. - Assist in identifying root causes of system issues by gathering information, reviewing documentation, and conducting basic process analysis.
- Help diagram current-state processes and proposed improvements using process flows, context diagrams, and data-flow diagrams under the direction of senior analysts.
- Contribute to documenting requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria with a focus on accuracy and clarity.
- Support the decomposition of traditional requirements into Agile Epics, Features, and User Stories that clearly reflect user needs.
- Assist in mapping user stories to technical design documents, ensuring clarity and alignment between business goals and technical specifications.
- Help identify related user stories, dependencies, and priorities in collaboration with senior analysts and the Product Owner.
- Support backlog refinement activities by maintaining well-organized user stories and requirements documentation.
- Participate in testing activities, including helping draft test objectives, test plans, and test cases.
- Execute basic functional and regression tests and document results to support solution quality.
- Help coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including capturing stakeholder feedback and communicating progress to project leads.
- Recommend and assist in implementing internal improvements to BA team processes, including creating or enhancing tools and workflows using Power Apps or Power Automate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field; or in equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Internship or academic project experience involving business analysis, requirements documentation, process mapping, or solution evaluation.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in business analysis, project support, data analysis, or related work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document information clearly.
- Foundational understanding of Agile and traditional Waterfall SDLC concepts.
- Basic understanding of data analysis and organizational data structures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and receive guidance in a team environment.
