Sonographer Job Description
Job Title: Sonographer

Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid driver's license required; State licensure reimbursement after 90 days of employment
- ARDMS or CCI registered in vascular ultrasound required (ARDMS: RVT, CCI: RVS, or ARRT: R.T.(VS)); COVID-19 Vaccination Required
Key Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program
- Maintain required certification, registries, health, and operational requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide mobile ultrasound services, with the majority of work performed in various nursing homes, home care facilities, prisons, and processing sites
- Self-dispatch or acquire communications from the dispatch department about the beginning caseload
- Ensure accurate and clinically diagnostic images and exams are performed and processed using portable sonographic equipment
- Digitally send images to a Radiologist for interpretation
- Communicate efficiently and professionally with call center, dispatch, peers, supervisory staff, and clients
- Maintain vehicle and sonographic equipment, ensuring care in handling
- Maintain high standards of medical ethics and self-motivation to increase knowledge of the field, diseases, and new procedures
- Adhere to company dress code, carry the company-provided phone, and respond to all urgent communication within fifteen minutes
- Support meetings attendance, perform professionally, and ensure orders are accurate before exam completion
- Document patient identification accurately, ensuring a responsible party confirms if needed
- Perform daily scan and billing paperwork per protocol
- Maintain relevant health screenings, providing any requested documentation accordingly
- Behave professionally according to the company's Code of Conduct and communicate any changes to a criminal background
- Train other technologists as necessary and work independently with little to no direct supervision
- Exhibit good organizational skills and proficiency in basic smartphone and computer operations
Physical Demands:
- Lift and manage the Equipment Bag, weighing 18 to 20 pounds, into and out of the vehicle and wheeled cart
