What are the responsibilities and job description for the Demo Architect - Small Business, Commercial lending position at Cync Software?
As a Demo Architect at Cync, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of our demo and sandbox platforms—mission-critical environments that showcase the power of Cync’s end-to-end lending solutions. Your work will directly empower our go-to-market teams to deliver compelling, narrative-driven product experiences that resonate with financial institutions across commercial, CRE, SBA, syndication, construction, and consumer lending.
This is a product-centric, technical role within the Solutions team, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of product, engineering, sales, and customer success. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Enablement to ensure Cync demos are not only technically robust and up to date, but strategically aligned with real-world customer workflows, loan structures, and credit analysis processes.
You’ll be the single-threaded owner of the demo environment—managing the roadmap, building tooling (e.g., Retool apps and APIs), and delivering reliable, tailored demos that support a wide range of use cases including LOS, loan servicing, financial spreading, credit memo generation, and Agentic AI-driven workflows.
What You’ll Do
- Own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and execution of Cync’s demo and sandbox environments, focusing on performance, scalability, and real-world narrative use cases.
- Manage and triage demo environment requests and updates across lending modules (e.g., CRE, SBA, Construction, Consumer), ensuring feature readiness for both standard and complex workflows.
- Partner with Engineering to enhance demo infrastructure, integrate APIs, maintain internal tools (e.g., Retool), and drive technical updates from planning through QA.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing and Enablement to build compelling demo storylines, curate fixture data (e.g., rent rolls, financial spreads), and align product capabilities with sales narratives.
- Develop scalable systems and processes that enable Sales Engineers, AEs, and Solutions Consultants to deliver consistent, high-quality demos with minimal friction.
- Serve as the go-to expert for all things demo-related, bridging communication between Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
- Maintain demo environment hygiene, documentation, and training materials to support internal enablement and long-term scalability.
- Continuously gather feedback from field teams and customers to evolve the demo platform in sync with customer needs and product enhancements.
What You Need
- 5 years of experience in a technical GTM role such as demo engineering, product management, solutions consulting, technical marketing, or product operations—ideally within SaaS or fintech.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of managing cross-functional initiatives from ideation to delivery.
- A product mindset, with the ability to prioritize features, balance trade-offs, and deliver customer impact through demo storytelling.
- Familiarity with APIs, Retool, internal tooling, and the ability to scope technical requirements and work closely with engineers.
- Excellent user empathy and storytelling instincts—you understand not just how a demo functions, but what it communicates and how it sells.
- Experience crafting fixture datasets, demo scripts, and workflows that align with enterprise sales cycles and complex loan structures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to align internal stakeholders and document systems clearly.
- Exposure to customer-facing roles or complex B2B sales cycles, preferably in the financial services or enterprise software domain.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience managing demo engineering or solutions teams.
- Prior work with financial technology platforms, lending software, or commercial banking systems.
- Familiarity with Cync-like use cases such as loan origination (LOS), servicing, credit memo generation, financial spreading, or Agentic AI-powered workflows.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility individual contributor role with the potential to grow as the demo platform matures.
