Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role for a full stack / Founding Engineer, located in the New York City Metropolitan Area with some flexibility for remote work. The Founding Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying core systems to accelerate the development of the Cymon AI platform. Daily responsibilities include collaborating on backend infrastructure, building scalable AI tools, optimizing system performance, and contributing to product vision and strategy. This is an opportunity to be a key player in establishing the technical foundation of an exciting AI startup.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in software development, programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar, and building scalable web or mobile applications
- Experience with AI/ML tools, frameworks, and libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar machine learning models
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and DevOps, including AWS, Google Cloud, deployment pipelines, and CI/CD processes
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and algorithm development skills
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.js and backend APIs
- Startup experience or entrepreneurial mindset is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
