About the Role:
We are seeking a Tool Designer to support aerospace manufacturing by developing precision tooling solutions. In this role, you will assist in designing the tooling required for the production of critical components, ensuring they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and operational efficiency requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in designing and developing tooling solutions to support aerospace manufacturing processes.
Review blueprints, engineering releases, and manufacturing operations to determine tooling requirements.
Prepare basic cost estimates for tooling and source competitive pricing from vendors.
Collaborate with engineering and plant teams to identify and resolve tooling-related challenges.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tooling performance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent education/work experience.
1-2 years of relevant experience in tooling design (co-op/internship experience considered).
Basic understanding of engineering design principles, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
US Citizenship required due to ITAR restrictions
