Job Summary:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in the aerospace industry, managing orders, inquiries, and issue resolution related to aerospace parts, components, and services while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, pricing, lead times, product specifications, and certifications (e.g., AS9100, FAA, EASA requirements). Process and track customer orders from receipt through delivery, coordinating with sales, production, quality, and logistics teams. Manage RMAs, returns, and corrective action requests related to nonconforming parts. Maintain accurate records of customer communications, orders, and certifications in the ERP/CRM system. Prepare and issue documentation such as certificates of conformance, packing slips, and shipping paperwork. Proactively communicate delays, shortages, or quality issues to customers and propose solutions. Support contract review processes, including verifying customer purchase orders against quotes and specifications. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies in pricing, delivery schedules, or part specifications. Monitor on-time delivery and quality metrics, escalating recurring issues to management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing. Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems and aerospace documentation requirements. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Epicor, JobBoss, Infor) and CRM platforms. Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding part numbers, revisions, and specifications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize competing deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of export control regulations (ITAR/EAR). Experience with AS9102 first article inspection reporting. Familiarity with reading engineering drawings and technical specifications with Aerospace.
Pay is based on experience.
