Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanic role based in Scottsdale, AZ. The Mechanic will perform routine and advanced bicycle maintenance and repair, including inspections, diagnostics, and component replacement to ensure optimal performance and rider safety. Day-to-day responsibilities include assembling and tuning bicycles, adjusting drivetrains and braking systems, performing wheel truing, and supporting fitting technicians by preparing bikes and equipment for motion analysis sessions. The role also involves documenting work performed, maintaining an organized and safe workshop, managing parts inventory, and communicating clearly with team members and customers about service needs and recommendations. The Mechanic will collaborate closely with Cyclologic’s fitting and biomechanics staff to ensure equipment is calibrated and ready for high-precision cycling analysis.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills for bicycles and related equipment.
- Candidates should possess experience with Preventive Maintenance, including inspection schedules and service documentation.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to diagnose performance issues and identify mechanical faults.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Heavy Equipment or specialized cycling analysis hardware, or be willing to learn.
- Knowledge of modern bicycle components (drivetrains, braking systems, suspension), tools, and repair techniques.
- Ability to work safely, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and follow established procedures and quality standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-focused approach and attention to detail.
- Previous experience as a bicycle mechanic or relevant mechanical/technical background; industry certifications are a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move bicycles and equipment, and perform hands-on mechanical tasks.
