Aircraft Cabinetmaker (Advanced Level)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Aircraft Cabinetmaker to join our aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you will fabricate the most complex aircraft cabinets and wood-surfaced subassemblies with exceptional precision, quality, and craftsmanship. Working under general supervision, you will also support project oversight, mentor team members, and ensure adherence to engineering and design standards.

Key Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Fabricate complex, high-quality aircraft furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies using stationary and handheld tools.
- Interpret material specifications, design documents, and engineering drawings to deliver products that meet customer and engineering standards.
- Use advanced woodworking tools, materials, and fabrication techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, protecting aircraft interiors at all times.
- Partner with Leads and senior technicians to identify and implement improvements using Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methods.
- Utilize the material tracking system to create part demands, update squawks, and sign off completed work.
Additional Functions
- Take on Lead responsibilities when required and provide mentorship to junior technicians.
- Assist Leads with project coordination and delegation of tasks.
- Participate in and conduct safety audits to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support maintenance of shop equipment and related JSAs (Job Safety Analyses).
- Collaborate with other backshops to support workflow and production needs.
- Adapt to sudden schedule changes and perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 years of cabinetmaking experience, with advanced knowledge of woodworking processes and products.
- Aerospace cabinetmaking experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be able to climb ladders/stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any assigned shift.
- Computer literacy required.
