Vice President of Finance
Overview
We are seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead all financial functions, drive strategic growth, and build scalable financial infrastructure. This role will partner closely with the CEO and executive team to support rapid expansion and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Own company-wide financial strategy, planning, and forecasting
- Act as a strategic partner to CEO on growth, pricing, and expansion
- Lead long-term financial modeling and scenario planning
2. FP&A (Core for SaaS)
- Build and manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Track key SaaS metrics: ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, churn, gross margin
- Provide actionable insights to improve profitability and efficiency
3. Accounting & Compliance
- Oversee accounting operations (GAAP / IFRS compliance)
- Manage audits, tax filings, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure strong internal controls and financial governance
4. Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Support fundraising (VC/PE, debt financing)
- Build investor decks, financial narratives, and KPI reporting
- Manage relationships with investors and board members
5. Operational Finance
- Improve unit economics and cost structures
- Drive financial discipline across departments
- Evaluate new business initiatives and partnerships
6. Team Building
- Hire and lead finance, accounting, and FP&A teams
- Implement scalable financial systems (ERP, billing, reporting tools)
Requirements
Must-Have
- 10–15 years in finance, with 2 years in leadership (Director/VP level)
- Strong experience in SaaS / Cloud / Tech companies
- Deep expertise in:
- Financial modeling & forecasting
- SaaS metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV, churn)
- Budgeting & FP&A
- Experience managing fundraising or investor reporting
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS)
Preferred
- Experience in cloud infrastructure / DevOps / platform companies
- Prior startup or high-growth environment experience
- CPA / CA / MBA (Finance)
- Experience with tools like NetSuite, QuickBooks, or SaaS analytics platforms
