Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled UI/UX Lead to drive the design and user experience strategy across multiple development teams. This role will be responsible for delivering intuitive, accessible, and visually consistent interfaces, while leading design initiatives, mentoring team members, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure high-quality product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Design & User Experience
- Partner with development teams to design and build intuitive UI mock-ups and prototypes.
- Ensure a consistent look and feel across all case management and application platforms.
- Develop proof-of-concepts and user interface prototypes with visually appealing layouts, graphics, icons, and color schemes.
- Research user needs, analyze feedback, and continuously improve user experience.
- Plan and facilitate usability testing; synthesize results into actionable recommendations.
Accessibility & Standards
- Ensure all designs meet Section 508 compliance and accessibility standards.
- Maintain and evolve design systems, style guides, and UI standards.
- Promote responsive design best practices across web and mobile platforms.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and coach UI/UX team members while overseeing project execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Marketing, Branding, UX leadership, and IT teams.
- Manage external design vendors, resources, and budgets.
Project & Process Management
- Ensure timely, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of all design initiatives.
- Adhere to project management methodologies and PMO standards.
- Define and manage resource plans, documentation, and project updates.
- Oversee release management, outage management, and change control processes.
Technical Contribution
- Work closely with development teams on implementation of UI designs.
- Contribute to coding, testing, debugging, and documentation when required.
- Support development of web applications using modern platforms and frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6 years of experience in UI/UX design, with leadership or management responsibilities.
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions and design systems.
- Experience with accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG).
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Strong understanding of responsive design and front-end development principles.
- Experience conducting usability testing and user research.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks).
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Background in case management systems or enterprise applications.
- Experience managing budgets and external vendors.
