JOB SUMMARY
As a Sr Project Manager, you will have primary project management responsibility for multiple engineering projects. The Sr Project Manager is responsible for project execution within the constraints of scope, schedule and budget, using Cybertrol systems to deliver successful projects that meet or exceed customer expectations. You will also work with a cross-functional team of engineers in order to deliver a comprehensive project to the customer. You will externally identify gaps in customer relationships and proactively engage others to build strong relationships. You will also be viewed by all as a trusted partner through business relationships.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Engage directly with the customer to develop a complete understanding of the project deliverables
- Maintain customer contact throughout the life of the project
- Assess and provide project status updates: progress, deadlines, deliverables, scope issues, schedule and cost
- Ensure quality processes have been followed to deliver high quality hardware and software solutions
- Identify upcoming opportunities for Cybertrol sales and occasional assistance with proposal generation
- Leverage different communication methods for most effective team engagement
- Effectively lead team sprints, challenge sprint teams in planning to successfully deliver project requirements and drive resolutions
- Effectively lead internal & external meetings driving issues to resolution
- Consult with leadership on key decisions
- Able to independently build out project templates that align with sold project scope
Up to 5% travel may be required. This travel is primarily project related. A valid driver’s license is required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's or associate degree in engineering or relevant field with 10 years industrial manufacturing experience
- 5 years project management experience
- Ability to identify commonly used hardware components in the manufacturing process and recognize their application
- Solid understanding of common manufacturing processes
- Experience in controls engineering
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Recognized PMP certification
- Experience with multiple project management methodologies, including waterfall, lean startup, agile and scrum
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to forge positive working relationships with a wide variety of people
- High level of professionalism, well organized, efficient and detail oriented
- Must be effective at overcoming resistance and able to work independently
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
Office Work:
- Office desk/cubicle environment
- Extensive computer use
Site Work:
- Travel to industrial manufacturing facilities. Typical locations are in North America
- Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs.
On-Site working conditions may include:
- Work around construction equipment and personnel
- Work around production equipment and production personnel
- Work in hot or cold areas
- Work in noisy areas
- Work up and down stairs, indoors and outdoors
- Working and interfacing with operations, engineering, equipment supply, and construction personnel.
- Typical Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) Required: Safety Glasses, Steel Toed shoes, hearing protection
- Employees must comply with customer specific requirements and PPE
