Tableau BI Developer
Introduction:
The Tableau BI Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Tableau. They will work closely with the team to create data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to support decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards for data visualization
- Administer Tableau Server and ensure smooth functioning of BI solutions
- Conduct BI development activities such as data warehousing, ETL, data cleansing, and data transformation
- Utilize technical skills including Microsoft SQL Server, SQL/T-SQL, data encryption, and data security
- Implement dimensional modeling and data marts for efficient data storage and retrieval
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver effective BI solutions
- Work on data migration projects and ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Adhere to industry standards and best practices in financial and banking domains
- Collaborate with team members and independently manage projects
- Communicate effectively and multitask to meet project deadlines
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Tableau
- Tableau Certification and/or portfolio of dashboards in Tableau Public
- Experience with Tableau Server Administration
- Proficiency in BI development, data visualization, and dashboard development
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, data cleansing, and data transformation
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL/T-SQL
- Understanding of data encryption, data security, and firewall environments
- Background in Engineering or Computer Science
- Experience in the financial or banking domain
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
- Effective multitasking and time management skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in data migration projects
- Building Data Marts using dimensional models
- Strong communication and proactive initiative-taking abilities
