BI Data Engineer

Introduction:

The BI Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions, data engineering, data warehousing, and data migration activities. They will work with various BI tools and technologies to support the financial domain and banking industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop ETL processes using Microsoft SSIS for data migration
• Create data marts utilizing dimensional modeling techniques
• Design and maintain BI dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI and Tableau
• Perform DBA activities such as database backup and restore
• Troubleshoot complex data issues and optimize database performance
• Collaborate with team members to integrate and transform data

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• 6 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• 6 years of experience with ETL tools like Microsoft SSIS
• 3 years of software development experience on BI platforms such as SSRS, Power BI, Tableau
• Experience in data migration, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling
• Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and TFS (Team Foundation Server)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Multi-tasking capability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the financial domain, specifically in the banking industry
• Knowledge of BI reporting and dashboard development
• Advanced skills in troubleshooting complex data issues
• Expertise in database performance tuning
• Familiarity with software development on BI platforms
