Cyberstrike is recruiting on behalf of a client seeking a talented Power Electronics Engineer to join a high-impact engineering team working on advanced power generation, conversion, and distribution systems.
This is a hybrid role based in Philadelphia, PA, with on-site days depending on the nature of the work - whether your focus is design, controls, or hands-on technical execution.

π§ What Youβll Be Doing
Design, test, and support high-power electrical and power electronics systems
Work with transformers, rectifiers, solid-state relays / IGBTs, VFDs, inverters, motors (50 HP), and switchboards
Develop and execute test procedures for advanced power systems
Support installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment
Contribute to control systems for power generation, transmission, distribution, and conversion
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
- 3 years of relevant hands-on experience, including:
- At least 1 year working with 450VAC / 300VDC or higher systems
- Experience with power electronics and electromechanical systems such as transformers, rectifiers, IGBTs, VFDs, inverters, and power monitors
- At least 6 months of field experience installing, testing, or troubleshooting electrical equipment
- At least 6 months developing or executing test procedures
- At least 1 year working with control systems for power generation, transmission, distribution, or conversion
β Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
- U.S. Navy shipboard experience
- Active or eligible Secret clearance
- Experience with 4160VAC / 1000VDC or higher systems
