Are you a PhD-level technical architect ready to command the "digital DNA" for the nation’s most critical financial infrastructure? CyberStorm Defense (CSD) is seeking an elite leader to serve as the senior technical authority for a high-consequence Large federal modernization program.
We are an emerging, fast-growing technical government contracting firm and a Certified Small Business. We apply Fortune 100 technical rigor—the same standards used at Bank of America and Merck—to secure a platform serving 275 million users. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to retire 60 year-old legacy code and define the future of federal technology.
THE TASK AT HAND: ARCHITECTING AT NATIONAL SCALE
This is not an advisory role; it is a high-velocity execution mission. Your first 90 days will be a "strike force" sprint to oversee the technical stand-up of a foundational GCP Enterprise Landing Zone, establishing identity guardrails and Zero Trust security-as-code from the ground up.
Key Objectives:
- Define the Future: Architect a portable, cloud-agnostic platform across AWS, Azure, and GCP to eliminate cloud-specific silos.
- Legacy Modernization: Design the transition logic to move massive Oracle workloads to modern PostgreSQL and MongoDB environments.
- The AI "Golden Path": Architect a mandatory Enterprise AI Gateway and GenAI IDE to enforce safety triggers, rate limiting, and observability for all agency AI traffic.
- Security-as-Code: Integrate automated security gates (SAST/SCA) and OSCAL-formatted documentation into every CI/CD pipeline to maintain a 98% scan execution rate.
NEEDS FROM PERSONNEL: MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

- 10-Year Pedigree: You must have a minimum of 10 years of enterprise-level cloud architecture experience.
- Professional Certification: An active Professional Cloud Certification (AWS Solutions Architect Pro, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert) is mandatory.
- Identity Mastery: Expert-level depth in SSO configuration, OIDC/SAML, and phishing-resistant MFA (FIDO2/WebAuthn).
- IaC Expertise: Mastery of Terraform and modular infrastructure design to create reusable "lego block" build components.
- Compliance Rigor: Documented success navigating FISMA, NIST RMF (800-53), and Zero Trust environments.
TECHNICAL STACK & FRAMEWORKS
To exceed the "Excellent" evaluation standard, you must demonstrate proficiency in:
- Modern Toolsets: Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, GitHub Actions, and OpenTelemetry (OTel) for distributed tracing.
- IRS-Specific Integration: Establishing least privilege via BEARS and PUMAS entitlements.
- OneSDLC Artifacts: Expert production of SDSR, ICD, and VSA documents as per the Integrated Master Schedule.
