Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Overnight Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist customers with their purchases, and ensure a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle transactions accurately. Bilingual abilities and previous retail or grocery store experience are a plus.
Duties
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and selections
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the store is organized
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking and restocking merchandise
- Maintain phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone
- Support sales goals through effective communication and suggestive selling techniques
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math skills required
- Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service excellence
- Ability to perform product demos, upselling, merchandising, and stocking efficiently
- Basic math proficiency for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
