Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Waste Treatment Technician is to manage the proper storage, treatment, and disposal of waste generated at the plant, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role involves operating treatment equipment, adhering to safety protocols, documenting waste management activities, and troubleshooting issues to maintain efficient and compliant waste management practices within the facility.
Education, Experience, and Background:
❖High school degree or equivalent.
❖Experience in related field is preferred.
Position/Wage Note:
Experience in waste management is preferred but not required. We value candidates who demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in the role. Extensive training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform waste treatment functions, regardless of your experience/education. Incoming wage will be dependent on experience and education.
Responsibilities:
❖ Run waste treatment system.
❖ Maintain Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System
❖ Maintains records, monitors and tests performance of systems.
❖ Perform daily waste storage inspections.
❖ Performs weekly inspection of Container Storage Area.
❖ Performs all water and waste sampling, lab testing and meter readings to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
❖ Reports chemical usage
❖ Facilitates all waste haul aways.
❖ Operates a forklift.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
