We are looking for a detail oriented person to manually paint a variety of plastic parts. This position entails mixing paints and utilizing a spray paint gun to dispense paint in specified areas, which vary with each part/customer job.

Position Summary:
The Manual Paint Technician is responsible for applying paint to plastic parts using a manual spray paint gun. The role involves working with parts that have varying specifications and requires a high level of precision and attention to detail. The technician will ensure that each part meets quality standards and adheres to the specified requirements. This position requires knowledge of painting techniques, safety practices, and the ability to maintain equipment.
- Paint Application:
- Manually apply paint to plastic parts using a spray paint gun, ensuring even coverage and adherence to specified thickness and finish requirements.
- Adjust spray gun settings according to the specifications of each part, including pressure, nozzle size, and spray pattern.
- Monitor the paint quality and consistency throughout the process to ensure the highest standards are met.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect parts before and after painting to identify any defects or inconsistencies.
- Conduct touch-ups and rework as necessary to meet quality specifications.
- Ensure all painted parts meet the color, texture, and finish requirements outlined in the job specifications.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of spray paint equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the spray equipment to minimize downtime.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Handle and dispose of paints, solvents, and other materials in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of paint usage, job specifications, and any issues encountered during the painting process.
- Report any deviations from the specified requirements to the supervisor or quality control team.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Previous experience in spray painting, particularly with plastic parts, is preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and specifications.
- Proficiency in using manual spray paint equipment.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for equipment maintenance.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capable of lifting and handling parts as required.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
