Sr. Mac Infrastructure Specialist

Job Title: System Administrator

Location: Rockville, MD

CyberData Technologies is seeking a System Administrator to manage and optimize Mac systems and virtual infrastructure. This role involves planning, monitoring, and supervising systems operations to ensure efficiency, performance, and compliance with organizational guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the daily configuration and operation of Mac systems and virtual infrastructure.

• Oversee system operations to optimize resource utilization and performance.

• Plan and monitor system capacity analysis and ensure scalability.

• Manage Nutanix server clusters running VMware vSphere.

• Monitor and address virtual infrastructure performance issues.

• Analyze and optimize resource usage within the virtual environment.

• Perform regular updates, patches, and backups following NIH security guidelines and vendor recommendations.

• Manage the hardware lifecycle, including procurement, maintenance, and decommissioning, in line with ITMB standards.

• Assess existing infrastructure and recommend improvements to enhance system performance.

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize Mac system integration and operations.

• Plan and monitor user assistance efforts to ensure accessibility and efficient use of business systems.

• Provide training and support to users as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing Mac infrastructure and virtual environments.

• Experience with VMware vSphere and Nutanix server clusters.

Technical Expertise:

• Advanced knowledge of Mac operating systems and enterprise-level system management.

• Proficiency with virtualization technologies, including VMware and Nutanix.

• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and security protocols.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)

• VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)

• Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
