Job Title: Network Manager

CyberData Technologies is seeking an experienced Communications Network Manager to oversee and manage all IT infrastructure operations. Reporting to the Federal Enterprise Team Lead, the Infrastructure Manager will lead infrastructure activities, ensuring efficient operations and support for a robust IT environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong technical foundation, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-performance systems.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all activities related to IT infrastructure operations.

• Collaborate with CIT to activate and disable physical network ports.

• Assist CIT with troubleshooting network issues related to cable connectivity and networking software.

• Manage the VMware environment network infrastructure, ensuring high performance and reliability.

• Assist Federal network engineers with physical replacement and maintenance of network equipment in data centers.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of the VMware network architecture and configurations.

• Supervise, coordinate, and perform additions or changes to network hardware, operating systems, and attached devices.

• Conduct investigations, analyses, recommendations, configurations, installations, and testing of new network hardware and software.

• Provide direct support for day-to-day network operations, including evaluating system utilization and monitoring response times.

• Troubleshoot network issues at both physical and logical levels, using network measurement hardware, software, and communication protocols.

• Participate in planning, design, technical reviews, and implementation of new network infrastructure and network operating systems for voice and data communication.

• Maintain network infrastructure standards, including TCP/IP and other communication protocols.

• Provide technical consultation, training, and support to IT staff as designated by the government.

• Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems to maintain network efficiency.

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of IT support experience, with at least 5 years in managing IT infrastructures.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with IT staff and upper management.

• Proven time management skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience managing and maintaining VMware environments and network infrastructures.

• Comprehensive knowledge of network communication protocols, including TCP/IP.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field is preferred.
