Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: Rockville, MD
CyberData Technologies is seeking a skilled Operations Manager to oversee the clinic’s IT Infrastructure and Operations. This role requires leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage high-availability IT systems and operations, ensuring they meet patient care and mission-critical requirements.
Responsibilities:

Manage and monitor the clinic’s high-availability IT Infrastructure, including Nutanix clusters running Acropolis (AHV) and Nutanix Files Storage.

Oversee IT Operations across production and disaster recovery sites with ~140 systems (primarily Windows-based, some Linux-based, and clinical imaging devices).

Address and resolve IT-related issues within defined response times per the Clinic’s Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Ensure all systems meet NIH security standards, with exceptions managed via approved waivers.

Apply security and third-party updates per NIH remediation timelines and clinic SOPs.

Provide onsite IT support during core hours and after-hours support for critical issues impacting patient care or mission-critical activities.

Assist clinicians, technicians, and vendors in deploying, configuring, and maintaining clinical IT systems.

Learn, document, and maintain technical functions to support all clinic IT needs.

Maintain accurate vendor access logs and system scripts for proper reporting.

Manage systems in compliance with FISMA High System and FDA-approved environment requirements.

Complete monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual assessment tasks for Security Assessment & Accreditation (SA&A).

Prepare and submit reports to maintain the Authorization to Operate (ATO).

Follow established protocols for updating FDA-approved systems.

Perform system maintenance after-hours or on weekends as required, with appropriate authorizations.

Assure regular backups of all clinic systems.

Maintain inventory of clinic systems, updating the Configuration Management System (CMS) and tracking changes per change management guidelines.

Conduct Continuity Plan testing and provide findings in detailed reports.

Respond to critical after-hours calls and ensure the availability of critical systems as defined in the Business Impact Assessment.

Establish and maintain relationships between clinic staff, IT personnel, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate service delivery.

Supervise staff operations and manage computer system resources to ensure effective use.

Coordinate the resolution of production-related problems while ensuring production schedules are met.
Qualifications:
Experience:

At least 10 years of experience managing IT infrastructure and operations in high-availability environments.

Preferred experience working in IT clinic environments.
Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective engagement with technical staff and upper management.

Technical Expertise:

Deep knowledge of IT systems, networking, and security standards (FISMA High System, NIH, and FDA guidelines).

Proficiency with Nutanix HCI (AOS, AHV, Nutanix Files), Windows Server, and Linux-based systems.
