Job Title: Senior Network Administrator
Location: Rockville, MD
CyberData Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Administrator to provide primary support for the clinic’s high-availability IT infrastructure and operations. This role requires a strong understanding of network administration, clinical IT systems, and high-availability environments, along with extensive technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Network Administration and IT Operations:

Support the installation, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of WANs and LANs across the agency.

Design and manage WAN infrastructure and related processes.
-
Provide production support for the network, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution.
-
Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues at the second level of support.
-
Coordinate with circuit and hardware vendors during the resolution process.
-
Escalate and communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers.
-
Provide 24/7 monitoring and support for the clinic’s critical systems, including after-hours response for urgent issues.
Clinic IT Infrastructure Management:

Manage and monitor the clinic’s high-availability IT infrastructure, including Nutanix clusters running Acropolis (AHV) and Nutanix Files Storage.

Maintain clinic systems across production and disaster recovery sites.
-
Support clinical IT systems, including configuration and ongoing maintenance.
-
Address IT-related issues within defined response times as outlined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Ensure compliance with NIH security standards, applying updates, and managing exemption waivers when necessary.

Maintain accurate logs for vendor access and perform regular system backups.
System Maintenance and Security:

Apply security updates and patches following NIH remediation timelines and clinic SOPs.

Ensure adherence to FDA guidelines for updates to approved systems.

Perform after-hours and weekend system maintenance with proper authorization.

Conduct regular Continuity Plan testing and prepare findings for reports.

Support database and backup administrators as needed.

Maintain clinic systems inventory in the Configuration Management System (CMS) and track all changes per change management guidelines.
Assessment and Reporting:

Complete monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual tasks for Security Assessment & Accreditation (SA&A).

Prepare reports to maintain system Authorization to Operate (ATO).

Review daily clinic infrastructure emails and act on system alerts and notifications.

Conduct system audits and provide findings to maintain operational integrity.
Qualifications:
Experience:
-
Minimum 7 years of experience working in high-availability environments.
-
Proven expertise in managing IT infrastructure, Nutanix HCI (AOS, Acropolis AHV, Nutanix Files, DR solutions), and VMware.

Extensive experience with PowerShell, scripting, Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Servers (2012-2022), and SQL.

Solid understanding of fiber networking and communication protocols.
