POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Senior ITAD Sales Specialist to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence across the Northeast and Midwest regions, with primary focus on the Chicago, DC, and Pittsburgh metropolitan areas. This remote role requires a proven sales professional with deep ITAD industry knowledge who can build lasting enterprise client relationships while selling complex B2B solutions including secure data destruction, asset recovery, and remarketing services.
TERRITORY: Northeast and Midwest (Chicago Metro, DC Metro, Pittsburgh Metro, Ohio, and surrounding regions)
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Generation and Business Development
- Proactively identify and pursue enterprise clients, medium-sized companies/mid-market accounts, and key prospects through strategic prospecting, networking, and cold outreach
- Manage full sales cycle from initial contact through contract negotiation and close
- Utilize CRM tools (Zoho) to track pipeline, forecast sales, and report on activity
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as trusted advisor on IT asset disposition strategies, compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR), and data security best practices
- Develop customized ITAD solutions addressing client needs for data destruction, environmental responsibility, and asset value recovery
- Ensure high client satisfaction and retention through ongoing relationship management
- Guide clients through onboarding and implementation processes
Collaboration and Market Intelligence
- Partner with operations, logistics, and technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Identify upsell opportunities for value-added services (data destruction, remarketing, mail-back programs)
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes
- Provide regular sales forecasts and performance updates to leadership
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of direct ITAD/ITAM sales experience (enterprise B2B sales required)
- Proven track record closing complex deals and exceeding sales targets
- Deep understanding of ITAD processes, data security standards, and industry certifications (R2, NAID, e-Stewards)
- Strong knowledge of compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR, NIST standards)
- Consultative sales approach with ability to understand client pain points and deliver tailored solutions
- Experience with CRM systems, particularly Zoho
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for executive-level engagements
- Ability to travel within territory as needed (approximately 10-20%)
Preferred:
- 5 years ITAD/ITAM sales experience
- Existing network of contacts in Northeast/Midwest markets
- Experience selling to Fortune 1000 accounts, healthcare, financial services, or mid-market sectors
- Knowledge of asset recovery and remarketing strategies
