Warehouse Associate

Title: Warehouse Associate - Chemical Manufacturing 
Location: Wharton, TX (77435)
Salary: $17-$19/HR OT 
 

Shift Hours: M-F 7:30AM - 4:30PM 

What You Will Be Doing

Perform daily counts of finished product and transfer it from the package staging area to the Warehouse.
Assist in daily loading/unloading operations as required.
Prepare materials for shipment.
Communicate potential shipping and receiving delays to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Lead.
Maintain Environmental, Safety and Quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized Warehouse and staging area.
Receive raw materials and apply internal identification numbers as required.
Participate in Incident Reviews as necessary and ensure applicable Corrective Actions are completed in a timely manner.
Apply additional labels as needed.
Follow procedure to secure loads in dry vans, flatbeds, and sea containers.
Pick materials as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor or Lead for each shipment.
Ensure all packaged chemical meets or exceeds quality expectations throughout the shipment process.
Inspect and document shipping and receiving as required.
Perform ERP (Emergency Response Plan) duties as outlined in the ERP.
Participate in monthly Safety training.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Enact spill response and containment procedures specific to the nature of the chemicals handled.
Possess a good knowledge of safety and environmental rules, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.

Adhere to safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Follow established regulatory protocols for material handling and unloading procedures.
Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to safety policies.
Comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to operations and material handling.

What You Need for this Position

2 years of Warehouse Experience 

2 Years of working in an Industrial Manufacturing Environment 

General knowledge of Environmental & Regulatory Practices

GED or Equivalent
