What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Manager position at CyberCoders?
Tax Managers review and manage tax engagements for clients while mentoring Staff and Senior Accountants. Impactful Managers act as technical advisors, often providing advice or research assistance to team members with complex tax questions and they supervise multiple engagements at one time. Our ideal candidate will have a clearly defined path for advancement to Senior Manager and/or Shareholder roles.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Directs large-scale tax consulting engagements simultaneously for regional clients (Business/Individual returns). Oversees ad hoc tax planning, research, and consulting projects and engagements
- Set appointments with clients and assembles information to prepare or arrange for the preparation of federal, state and local returns
- Maintains productive working relationships with client personnel and manage expectations of service (reports, schedules, etc.)
- Determines fees to be charged for an engagement with approval from client partner
- Provides mentorship opportunities to Staff and Senior Accountants and provides opportunities for learning during client engagements
- Building relationships with key stakeholders at client organizations to continue to foster a long-term partnership between the department and external clients.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor's Degree and Licensed CPA REQUIRED
- 5 years of progressive tax consulting experience
- 2 years leading and training Staff and Senior Accountants in the public accounting space
