The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting surveys to determine land boundaries, prepare maps, and ensure compliance with local regulations. This position plays a crucial role in construction projects, helping to provide accurate and reliable data for planning and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct land surveys to establish property boundaries and prepare detailed maps and reports.
- Utilize GPS and other surveying instruments to collect and analyze data effectively.
- Collaborate with civil engineers and architects to provide accurate information for construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding land use and surveying practices.
- Prepare and maintain accurate survey documentation and records.
- Provide recommendations based on survey data and assist in resolving boundary disputes.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Surveyor (PS) license preferred, or the ability to obtain one.
- Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in land surveying techniques and principles.
- Familiarity with GPS technology and software used in surveying.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with attention to detail.
