Position Overview

The Sr. Estimator will play a crucial role in our commercial construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and enhancing our bidding process. This position requires a detailed understanding of various construction methodologies and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and clients to deliver quality results on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Analyze project drawings and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather pricing information and assess project feasibility.
• Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
• Maintain and update estimating databases and cost libraries to reflect current market conditions.
• Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and value engineering options to clients.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project estimates and budgetary considerations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and cost factors.
• Experience with estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• Familiarity with MEP, structural, and commercial interior construction practices.
