Senior Traffic Engineer
Position Overview
The Senior Traffic Engineer will lead and manage traffic engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, government regulations, and client specifications. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality engineering solutions that enhance infrastructure and community development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of civil engineering projects, including transportation, land development, and municipal construction.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop project plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather data for project development.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
- Review and approve project designs and documentation to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and government agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on traffic, transportation, land development, or municipal projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software for design and drafting.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Experience with project management and familiarity with construction processes and municipal codes.
