This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative design solutions that meet project specifications and promote safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of roadway projects from conceptualization to completion.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineers to ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct feasibility studies and design analyses for roadway improvements.
- Prepare and review design plans, specifications, and reports for compliance with FDOT standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff in roadway design practices.
- Coordinate with local agencies and stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment with community needs.
- Manage project budgets and schedules while ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in roadway design engineering, preferably with experience in land development projects.
- Proficient in roadway design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar.
- Strong knowledge of FDOT standards and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work within a team and with clients.
