Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Designer to join our dynamic team, specializing in multifamily and mixed-use developments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a strong understanding of the complexities involved in affordable housing and student housing projects. The Senior Designer will play a crucial role in leading design initiatives, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design process for multifamily and mixed-use projects from concept to completion.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop innovative design solutions.
- Utilize BIM and Revit software to create detailed models and drawings for projects.
- Ensure that designs meet client requirements, building codes, and sustainability standards.
- Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on design best practices.
- Conduct site assessments and participate in client meetings to understand project goals and constraints.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to incorporate into design practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a designer in multifamily and mixed-use projects.
- Proficient in BIM and Revit software.
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous work in affordable housing and student housing.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to multifamily housing.
