Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Patent Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide legal expertise in patent law, helping clients protect their intellectual property through effective patent prosecution and litigation strategies. This role requires a strong understanding of technology and science, alongside excellent legal research and drafting skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on patentability and intellectual property matters
• Conduct legal research and analysis in the field of patent law
• Draft and file patent applications with the relevant authorities
• Handle patent prosecution, including responding to office actions and appeals
• Represent clients in patent litigation and infringement cases
• Analyze and provide guidance on patent infringement issues
• Assist in trademark and copyright matters as needed
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate representation of inventions
• Stay current on developments in patent law and relevant regulations
• Provide legal compliance support and counsel on regulatory affairs
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD)
• New York bar admission
• Strong background in engineering, physics, optics, or aerospace engineering is a major plus
• Proven experience in patent law and litigation
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Knowledge of trademarks and copyright law
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  
  

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary for this position, ranging between $114,000 -$140,000 annually. We offer Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K plans. We have an annual standard of 1800 billable hours with 50 hours of pro bono service(treated as billable). We have a set partnership track, so you'll know where you're headed from day 1!
