We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will support attorneys in various legal tasks, ensuring that our clients receive the highest standard of service. This position involves research, document preparation, and case management to facilitate the efficient handling of legal procedures and cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation
- Draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and discovery requests
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are accurate and up-to-date
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and provide updates
- Manage case calendars and deadlines to ensure timely filings and compliance
- Assist in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and witness lists
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program
- 1 year of proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with legal software and case management systems
- Experience in specific areas of law such as immigration or human trafficking is a huge plus!
