Title: Lead Exhibit Installer - Trade Shows
Location: Woodridge, IL 60517 (Southwest Chicago)
Hourly Pay: $26 - $28 / Hour Overtime
Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm
Founded in the early 2000s, we are a 600 employee large-format graphics, exhibit systems, display hardware, and event/retail visual communications manufacturer with multiple US locations. We support exhibit houses, event production companies, retail brands, marketing agencies, and trade show partners. With continued growth in custom exhibit production and rental programs, we are adding experienced Exhibit Installation Leads to support fast-turn, high-quality show floor execution. The Exhibit Installation Lead will oversee the setup, verification, and dismantle of custom exhibits, kits, and rental displays. This role serves as the on-site lead for larger projects, ensuring accurate assembly, problem solving, and a smooth customer experience.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead the setup and dismantle of custom exhibits, kits, and rental displays while meeting project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and layout details to ensure accurate build sequences
- Identify and resolve on-site issues, communicate discrepancies to Project Managers or Sales, and provide real-time updates and QC photos
- Label, verify, and pack components to ensure correct sequencing and a smooth customer experience on the show floor
- Participate in final project verification, review lessons learned, and provide feedback to design, production, and quality teams
- Occasionally assist with scheduling, project assignments, and sign-off responsibilities when supporting the Set-Up Manager
What You Need for This Position
- 4 years installation experience, ideally trade show exhibit installation or similar hands-on build environments
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, hardware, and modular exhibit systems
- Ability to read scale blueprints, technical drawings, and architectural plans
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-demand environments with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to climb ladders, work on scissor lifts (with training), and work in confined spaces as needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to work professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams
Nice to Have:
- Experience with unions or show venue jurisdictions
- Background in graphic production, project management, or exhibit fabrication
- Ability to travel on short notice for installations
