Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented Plumbing Estimator to join our team and prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical and plumbing projects serving institutional, educational, and commercial clients. 

As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction process by analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop competitive bids and proposals.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, and scope to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Analyze labor, material, and subcontractor costs to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with project managers and coordination teams during pre-construction.
• Prepare and submit bid proposals within deadlines.
• Maintain organized records of estimates and pricing data.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing.
• Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical/plumbing estimating.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Sage and Bluebeam a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and a collaborative team player.
