Director of Electrical Engineering

Position Overview

The Director of Electrical Engineering will lead and manage the electrical engineering department, overseeing all aspects of electrical design and project management. This role involves strategic planning, development of engineering processes, and ensuring that projects meet both client expectations and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consulting and a proven track record in managing teams effectively in the commercial and healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering team in the design and implementation of electrical systems for commercial and healthcare projects.
• Develop and maintain engineering processes and standards to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Consult with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on electrical design and project execution.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
• Oversee the use of engineering software such as Revit and AutoCAD in electrical design efforts.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members, fostering professional development and growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated project delivery and adherence to regulatory standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proficient in electrical design software, particularly Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and healthcare environments.
• Excellent consulting skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and management, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
