What You Will Be Doing
- Perform root cause analysis on UPS failures to identify recurring issues and provide solutions.
- Perform thorough board-level diagnostics, including component-level troubleshooting and repair of UPS systems.
- Replace or repair faulty components such as resistors, capacitors, transistors, and ICs using soldering, rework stations, and other electronic repair tools.
- Develop and maintain repair manuals and technical documentation to streamline future repair processes.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve diagnostic procedures and repair methodologies.
- Work closely with technical support and service teams to ensure repaired systems meet quality standards.
- Provide clear and concise technical reports to internal teams or clients, summarizing issues, actions taken, and outcomes.
- Proven experience in board-level repair and troubleshooting of UPS systems, power electronics, or similar equipment.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuit boards, and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with soldering, rework, and other board repair techniques.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters and thermal cameras.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field experience.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with UPS models and related power systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, technical support, and service teams.
