The Network Services Technician is responsible for overseeing the timely coordination and completion of network service calls and field deployments. This position is a W-2 full-time, FLSA-qualifying position, reporting directly to the Network Services Manager. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports and contributes to the absolute highest level of service and care of our clients, working in a professional, organized and timely manner moving between priorities
- Exhibits strong communication skills and takes ownership of timely follow-up with clients, builders, vendors and employees
- Solid knowledge of Internet and TCP/IP Networking / Troubleshooting. Understanding of Wireless standards and applications. VPN applications. NVR / DVR Surveillance camera systems.
- Proficient in Apple iOS and MacOS devices
- Resolves and troubleshoots network issues on active job sites and a client’s residence as needed
- Supports multiple areas of the business, as needed; including installation of network and camera hardware, including trim, final installation, and configuration phases (production and service)
- Accurately documents device changes/updates pertaining to all Client Master I/O’s. Performs quality network and WiFi performance analysis of each network at varying times while on site at a project or during a service call
- Equipped with appropriate tools for Networking Service responsibilities (Laptop/Adapters, Cabling Tools, Rack/Install Tools, etc)
- Champions efficiency, by continually staying up-to-date with evolving Network, Surveillance and WiFi standards. Maintaining and executing established Cyber Network Standards while looking for ways to improve Network Services
- Performs duties in an independent and expeditious manner, without additional supervision; seeking guidance and direction from the Network Services Manager or company leadership on major issues, as necessary
- Displays a positive, professional, cooperative relationship with both clients and colleagues. Respecting the confidentiality of client and company information.
- Makes optimal use of his/her own time during all working hours, is able to recognize and address priorities
- Demonstrates good planning skills; which align with overall company goals
- Shows commitment to Cyber Core Values (Listen, Grow, Trust, Work, Chill) and proactively incorporates them into communication and decision making
- Degree or Certifications in Networking or a related field preferred
- Hands on experience installing and troubleshooting network devices and hardware required
- Strong problem solving and communication skills required
- Experience in residential service, specifically high-end, is a plus
