- This is a full‑time, in‑office position located in Maple Grove, MN, with the possibility of working from home 1–2 days per week after the training period.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Month-End Close:
- Perform normal month-end closing procedures including journal entry preparation, reconciliations, vendor and employee expense management, and monthly variance analysis.
- Assist with preparation and review of financial reports including balance sheets and income statements.
- Recommend and implement process and system improvements to drive consistency, scalability, and control, ensuring the appropriate accounting treatment.
- Analyze financial data and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of financial reports to senior management, bankers and the Board.
- Develop clear documentation for new or updated accounting processes, policies, and procedures.
- Provide supporting schedules and analysis during the annual external audits.
- Other accounting duties as requested and/or assigned.
M&A and Financial Integration:
- Lead the financial integration workstream for acquired entities, coordinating cross functional activities and timelines.
- Drive integration milestones and help resolve issues that arise during the integration process.
- Bridge legacy and acquired company accounting processes to align with Cyber Advisors’ standard processes.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or risks within existing processes.
- Create and deliver training materials to ensure smooth adoption by acquired teams.
- Identify overlapping or redundant vendors resulting from acquisitions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to shut down products, services, or systems that are no longer required post integration.
- Ensure proper financial, contractual, and operational closure.
- Serve as the first point of contact for finance related questions during and after integration.
Tax and Corporate Registrations:
- Oversee sales and use tax filings in existing states.
- Monitor activities in additional states to identify nexus exposure and ensure timely registration and compliance.
- Maintain responsibility for all corporate registrations and related state and local filings for the parent company and acquired entities.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with business licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with an external CPA firm on corporate tax filings and estimated tax payments.
- Prepare, review, and provide all necessary information and support required by external CPA firm to complete corporate tax obligations

TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Proficiency in GAAP accounting principles
- Excellent understanding of end-to-end accounting processes
- Advanced knowledge of financial systems including QuickBooks and NetSuite
- Experience working with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems.
- Experience finding and analyzing the root cause of variances at a detailed level in order to identify impacts to future periods.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and month-end close.
- Demonstrated ability to drive accounting processes, working with cross-functional leaders.
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence at all levels
- High attention to detail
- Experience in the technology and/or technology services industries is preferred

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
