Hiring: Payroll Tax Manager -- Greenville, SC (Hybrid)
We''re looking for an experienced Payroll Tax Manager to join a Contract-to-Hire opportunity.
Location: Greenville, SC
Schedule: Hybrid (Remote Monday & Friday | In-office Tuesday–Thursday)
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Lead all Payroll Tax operations across federal, state, and local jurisdictions
✔ Manage payroll tax filings, funding, reconciliations, and compliance activities
✔ Support mergers & acquisitions payroll tax integration
✔ Oversee W-2 reviews, state unemployment, Workers'' Compensation, and escheatment processes
✔ Partner with Accounting, Treasury, and Managed Service Providers to ensure accurate payroll tax reporting
✔ Resolve payroll tax issues, audits, tax registrations, and reporting requirements
✔ Ensure compliance with SOX, federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
✅ Bachelor''s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
✅ Strong experience in Payroll Tax, payroll operations, and tax compliance
✅ Knowledge of multi-state payroll tax regulations, W-2 processing, and payroll reconciliations
✅ Experience supporting payroll tax activities during mergers & acquisitions is a plus
✅ Excellent analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
